TPU performance characteristics
Between rubber and plastic, thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers (TPU) have many excellent properties:
1, excellent wear resistance: its Taber wear value is 0.35-0.5mg, is very small in plastic. Adding lubricant can reduce the friction, so as to further improve the wear degree;
2, tensile strength and tensile rate: the tensile strength of TPU is natural rubber and synthetic rubber 2-3 times, polyester type TPU tensile strength > 60Mpa, elongation 410%, polyurethane TPU tensile strength of 50Mpa, elongation 550%;
3. Oil resistance: The oil resistance of TPU is superior to that of NBR, with good oil resistance life;
4, low temperature resistance, weather resistance, ozone resistance, TPU weathering resistance is better than natural rubber and other synthetic rubber, its ozone resistance, ray resistance characteristics in the aerospace industry has a special use;
5. Food medical and health care: TPU is biocompatible and anticoagulant, and medical TPU is more and more widely used. Such as blood transfusion tube, ureter, infusion tube. TPU contains no enhancer, is non-toxic and odorless, and is widely used in the food industry.
6, hardness range: TPU hardness is 10A-80D, under 15A has similar compression deformation characteristics. When the hardness is above 85A, it remains elastic, which is not a feature of other elastomers, so TPU has high load support capacity and good suction and discharge effect.
7, TPU is generally divided into polyester TPU, polyether TPU and poly, polycaprolactone TPU:

Polyester TPU: has high mechanical temperature, good wear resistance, oil resistance, fuel resistance and solvent resistance, high temperature performance and excellent UV resistance and hydrolysis stability. Polyester TPU series are recommended for applications with the above requirements;
